Chronic Disease Rehabilitation
If you or someone you love is suffering from a chronic illness, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease rheumatism or cancer, the rehabilitation you receive can have a profound effect on your recovery and quality of life. VITUP provides comprehensive chronic disease rehabilitation including physical and occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, speech therapy and wound care.
Lack of exercise, due to sports injury or due to a long-term sedentary life style, will often create health-related problems. Muscle tissue that is not used regularly will whither and atrophy. Physical exercise plays an important role in preventive rehabilitation measures. VITUP’s rehabilitation treatments include scientific and rational strength training to prevent muscle degradation and reverse muscle atrophy.
Post-acute Phase (Recovery Period) Rehabilitation
Post-acute phase generally refers to day 4 to 21 days after an injury. Post-acute phase rehabilitation is designed to help patients return to normal life activities as soon as they’re ready. Before sending patients home, they are fully evaluated to ensure that they can safely resume daily living activities such as communication and walking without limitations.
For elderly adults, rehabilitation can be vitally important, whether recovering from injury or simply to help them cope with declining physical and mental functions of daily life. Our professional rehabilitation team incorporates rehabilitation into daily care for the elderly; allowing the elderly to maintain dignity and self-esteem, reduce aftereffects of disease or injury and help them enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle.
